Seedling Tarot (“Seedling,” “the App”) is developed and operated by ALPHABETVOID LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We believe personal and reflective practices should remain personal. This Privacy Policy explains what information Seedling Tarot processes and how it is handled.

1. Information Seedling Tarot Processes

Seedling Tarot does not require users to create an account.

Birth information. If you use Seedling’s astrology features, you may provide your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. This information is stored locally for your astrology profile and used to perform the astrology calculations you request.

Journal information. Tarot journal entries and reflections are stored strictly on your device. ALPHABETVOID LLC does not receive or store the contents of your journal entries.

Seedling uses Amplitude to collect limited information about how the App is used, such as app opens, screens or features viewed, and interactions with features. We use this information to understand how Seedling is used and improve the App. We do not send journal-entry contents or birth information to Amplitude.

2. Astrology Calculations and FreeAstro

Seedling uses the FreeAstro API to perform certain astrology calculations.

When you request an astrology calculation, Seedling sends the information necessary for that calculation to FreeAstro. This consists of your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth.

Seedling does not send a Seedling account identifier because Seedling does not use user accounts.

Birth date, birth time, and birth location are transmitted to FreeAstro solely to perform the requested astrological calculation. ALPHABETVOID LLC does not control FreeAstro’s data-retention practices. FreeAstro’s handling and retention of submitted data is governed by its own practices and policies.

ALPHABETVOID LLC does not store your birth information on its own servers as part of this API request.

FreeAstroAPI is a third-party astrology calculation service. Astrological calculations and interpretations are provided for entertainment and educational purposes only and should not be relied upon as medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice.

3. Journal Privacy

Your Seedling journal is local to your device. Journal entries, reflections, tarot pulls saved to your journal, and other journal content are not transmitted to ALPHABETVOID LLC.

If you delete locally stored journal information or remove the App and its associated local data, ALPHABETVOID LLC does not maintain a separate server copy of that journal content.

You can remove locally stored journal entries, favourites, card history, and birth data using “clear app data” in Seedling’s Settings.

4. Location Data and Attribution

Birth-place search and location data may include data provided by GeoNames.

5. Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising

Seedling uses Amplitude, a third-party analytics service, to understand feature usage and improve the App. Analytics may include product-interaction events such as app opens, screens or features viewed, tarot-card interactions, journal-feature interactions, and other feature usage, along with limited technical information associated with the App or device. We do not send the text of journal entries, written reflections, or birth date, birth time, or birth location to Amplitude. An event may tell us that a feature was used without sending us the content entered into that feature. Amplitude may process identifiers and technical information needed to distinguish app usage and provide analytics. We use this information for product measurement and improvement, not targeted advertising. Seedling is not designed to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes, and we do not sell your personal information.

We use Amplitude, a third-party analytics service provided by Amplitude, Inc., to help us understand how the app is used, identify technical and usability issues, and improve the app and its features.

Information processed through Amplitude may include app interaction and usage events, device identifiers, and general location information such as country, region, or city inferred from a device's IP address. Amplitude does not obtain precise GPS location through its standard analytics SDK for this purpose.

Information sent to Amplitude is processed in accordance with Amplitude's applicable privacy and data-processing terms.

6. Push Notifications

We use WonderPush, a third-party push notification service, to deliver notifications to users who choose to allow them.

For users who enable push notifications, WonderPush may process a randomly generated installation identifier, the device's push notification token, technical device and app information such as platform, operating system version, device model, language, country, time zone, carrier, and screen characteristics, and events related to app opens and notification delivery or interaction. We do not use WonderPush to provide it with a name, email address, advertising identifier, precise location, or other directly identifying profile information.

WonderPush states that it does not store IP addresses or IDFA identifiers for this service. Information is processed to operate, secure, measure, and improve push notification delivery and is handled in accordance with WonderPush's applicable privacy and data-processing terms.

Push notifications are optional. You can decline the system permission request or later disable notifications for Seedling in your device's Settings. Disabling notifications stops future push notifications.

7. How Information Is Used

Information you provide is used as necessary to provide the features you request, including generating tarot-related experiences, maintaining your local journal, and calculating astrology information. Limited app-usage analytics are used to understand feature usage and improve Seedling. If you enable push notifications, notification information is used to deliver and measure those notifications.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Birth information is transmitted to FreeAstro when necessary to perform an astrology calculation you request, as described above. Limited app-usage and technical analytics are transmitted to Amplitude as described in the Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising section. WonderPush processes push-notification information as described in the Push Notifications section below.

We may disclose information if required by applicable law or when reasonably necessary to protect the security or integrity of Seedling Tarot, ALPHABETVOID LLC, our users, or others.

9. Data Storage and Retention

Journal information is stored locally on your device rather than on ALPHABETVOID LLC servers. ALPHABETVOID LLC does not maintain user accounts or a server-side copy of your Seedling journal.

Birth information submitted for an astrology calculation is transmitted to FreeAstro as described above. ALPHABETVOID LLC does not control or guarantee FreeAstro’s data-retention practices.

Amplitude and WonderPush process information under their respective privacy and data-processing terms. Turning off notifications stops future push notifications; it does not by itself request deletion of information already processed by these services. Contact us with privacy or deletion questions.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to minimize the personal information transmitted outside your device and to protect information involved in providing Seedling’s functionality. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Children’s Privacy

Seedling Tarot is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If we learn that personal information from a child has been collected in circumstances requiring parental consent and appropriate consent was not obtained, we will take reasonable steps to address the information as required by applicable law.

12. Tarot and Astrology

Seedling Tarot provides tarot, astrology, journaling, and reflective tools for personal exploration and entertainment. Tarot readings, astrological interpretations, and related content provided by Seedling are not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if Seedling’s features or privacy practices change. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date below.

14. Third-Party Services

The app relies on third-party services described above to provide certain functionality and to help us operate and improve the app. Those services may process information in accordance with their respective terms and privacy policies.

Use of third-party services does not change the informational and entertainment nature of the app. Astrological content provided by the app is not intended as a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
